BBQ sauce

(serves 4)

Pour the Worcester sauce into a saucepan with the chopped onions and brown sugar, and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring continuously. Add a little oil if the sauce becomes too thick.

You can prepare the sauce in advance and refrigerate in a sealed container for several weeks.

Tastes great with crisp grilled Adler Burehäxle.

 

¼ cup Worcester sauce

½ cup finely chopped onion

¼ cup brown sugar

1 cup tomato ketchup

1 tsp mustard

2 tsp sweet paprika powder

2 tsp chilli powder

Juice of 2 lemons

1 tsp salt

Smoked salt to taste (optional)

Sunflower oil

3 cloves garlic
