Data privacy

You can usually use our website without providing any personal data. If personal data (e.g. name, postal or email addresses) is collected on our website, this occurs on a voluntary basis wherever possible. We do not disclose this data to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that transferring data over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can be vulnerable to security gaps. It is impossible to protect data fully against unauthorised access by third parties.

The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal steps in the event of unsolicited promotional information, such as spam mails, being sent.

Privacy statement concerning the use of Facebook plug-ins (‘Like’ button)

Our website integrates plug-ins from the social network Facebook, a service of Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. You can recognise the Facebook plug-in by the Facebook logo or ‘Like’ button on our pages. You can find an overview of Facebook plug-ins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When you visit our website, the plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. This informs Facebook that you have visited our website with your IP address. You can link the contents of our website to your Facebook profile by clicking on the Facebook ‘Like’ button while you are logged into your Facebook account. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our website with your Facebook account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of this website, we have no knowledge or information about how Facebook uses this data. For more information, please see the privacy policy of Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php

Log out of your Facebook account first if you want to prevent Facebook associating your visit to our website with your Facebook account.

Privacy statement concerning the use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses what are known as ‘cookies’, which are small text files that are stored on your computer and allow your use of our website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about how you use this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation is enabled on this website, Google will first truncate your IP address within the member states of the European Union or other contracting parties of the European Economic Area Agreement.

Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the US and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to evaluate how you use the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide the website operator with services related to the use of the website and internet. The IP address transferred by your browser as a part of the Google Analytics service is not merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. We would like to point out that doing so, however, may limit your ability to use all of the features of this website to the full. By downloading and installing the browser plug-in available from the link below, you can also prevent the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being transferred to and processed by Google: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Privacy statement concerning the use of Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for linking ads of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google AdSense uses what are referred to as ‘cookies’, or small text files which are stored on your computer and allow your use of the website to be analysed. Google AdSense also uses small invisible graphics known as ‘web beacons’. These can be used to analyse information, such as visitor traffic on this website.

The information generated by the cookies and beacons on how this website is used (including your IP address) and the roll-out of ad formats is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google may share this information with Google affiliates. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data that you have stored.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the appropriate settings in your browser. We would like to point out that doing so, however, may limit your ability to use all the features of this website to the full. By using this website, you consent to Google processing the data collected about you as described and for the purposes stated above.

Data security

We use the popular SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method during visits to our website, in conjunction with the highest level of encryption that your browser supports. Usually this involves 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can see whether an individual page on our website is encrypted by the presence of the key or padlock icon.

Privacy policy concerning the use of Google +1

Collecting and sharing information:

The Google +1 button allows you to share information worldwide. It also allows you and other users to receive personalised content from Google and our partners. Google stores both your action in clicking +1 for specific content and information about the page you were viewing when you clicked +1. Your +1s can be shown as recommendations along with your profile name and photo in Google services, for example in search results or in your Google profile, or elsewhere on websites and in ads on the internet.

Google records information about your +1 activities in order to improve Google services for both you and other users. In order to be able to use the Google +1 button, you need a globally visible, public Google profile that must contain at least the name selected for the profile. This name is used in all Google services. In some cases, it can also replace another name you have used when sharing content through your Google account. The identity of your Google profile can be shown to users who know your email address or possess other identifying information about you.

How collected information is used:

In addition to the aforementioned uses, the information you provide is used in compliance with the applicable Google data privacy provisions. Google may publish aggregated statistics about users’ +1 activities or forward same to users and partners, such as publishers, advertisers or linked websites.

As the provider of this website, we would like to point out that we have no knowledge or information about how Twitter uses this data. For more information, please view the Twitter privacy policy at: http://twitter.com/privacy.
